Fusionopolis Opening Ceremony!

On the 17th of October,
SPARC did duty for the
opening ceremony for Fusionopolis!Its a very large building specially built for Research!
Fusionopolis, a science and technology powerhouse for Singapore, brings together, under one roof, research scientists, engineers and technology experts from the public labs of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and those from the private sector. Although their missions differ, these organisations share the common goal of advancing technology to create a better world.
Although the duties done may be dry, but we had fun!

SIFE 2008!

Finally..
It has come to an end for
SIFE World Cup 2008!
Few of the SPARC members had definitely benefited heavily from being a SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) ambassador =)
What is SIFE?
Every country that operates a SIFE national organization is eligible to send a national champion team to the SIFE World Cup, where they will present the results of their community outreach projects to panels of business leaders serving as judges. Teams are evaluated on the quality of their projects and how much impact they achieved creating economic opportunity for others.

Score Board (for those who made it to the semi-final)
Singapore has managed to strive above it's strong opponents in the semi-final round,
stepping straight into Top 4!
End Results: Singapore took the 4th position while Canada is the overall winner for SIFE World Cup 2008 !
But for the SPARCs:
Friends from all over the world:
Japan, Korea,India, Poland, Canada and many more!
Listening to various countries presentations:
SIFE South Africans (with their students Ambassadors from SPARC):
Many overseas friendships were made and it certainly made 'goodbyes' hard to say....
Therefore people, next time do join in events as such as you may never know what kind of wonderful experience is looking for you =)
